The Allen County Auxiliary Radio Service (ACARS) is an emergency field service operated by the northwest ohio amateur radio club.
The organization is comprised of licensed amateur radio operators who have voluntarily registered their capabilities and equipment for the purpose of providing auxiliary communications as a public service to the community in the event of a disaster, when established communications fail or are inadequate.
